Gerard Butler Interview, Frank Miller's 300

"I feel that with Leonidas there was an element of mysticism, that it wasn’t even about these men dying for him. It was almost like he knew 2500 years later they were going to make a film about it and it’s going to be not just that but it’s going to be a great film. There were many other things going on in his mind but at the end of the day I think the focus has to be that they believed they could win, you know. But if they died, that didn’t matter."

Another great Gerard Butler interview...

300 is getting more good press than it deserves. I just did a review of 300 over at Highbrid Nation if you care to read it. In the end it was just another movie that did not live up to the hype to me. Can we say "poor man's Gladiator"? Most people will likely disagree with me though, lol

I think that the movie was visually beautiful and made for a great film! I truly enjoyed it and I think that it is going to change the future of film making and further enhancement of remote, digital animation.

I stumbled upon this cool 300 contest when reading various impressions from opening weekend on a new site Zannel. You can win tons of cash and 300 collectibles...pretty cool.

Hey anonymous,

I actually stumbled on that contest as well, seriously, I don't know why I'd never heard of Zannel before, it's a pretty awesome site.

Anyways, back to the topic, I actually really enjoyed 300 as well. I wasn't expecting much of it, so it definitely exceeded my expectations-- it was definitely worth seeing!
